Traditional dating still occurs today in spite of the technological changes that have occurred in the twenty-first century with regard to the way in which members of society interact with each other.
Many couples still meet at school, tertiary institutions like colleges and universities, church, parties, clubs and through friends and family. Face to face meetings where people arrange to date each other are still popular and it is much easier to get information about the other person from friends, family and familiar people in the community who are eager to share their opinions about individuals.
Traditional dating appears to be a much safer and a tried and trusted method to meet partners. The face to face meetings are scary and uncomfortable, but once the ice is broken and mutual interests are found, the fear and the nerves begin to settle and the couple can then progress to the next date or level of the relationship.
